Gunnamatta Park is a large, leafy park on 14 acres of land, a short walk from Cronulla train station. The park is perfect for family gatherings and picnics with large grassed areas, shade trees and a playground.

Gunnamatta Park adjoins Gunnamatta Bay Tidal Baths, a large netted swimming area with a beach.

The waters to the left of the tidal baths may contain stingrays and care should be taken when wading in shallow water.

Barbecues and shelters, including a large picnic shed, are available on a first come first served basis.  There is a hot coal bin (view map) for the safe disposal of hot coals from portable coal barbecues.

Dogs on-leash are allowed on the walkways and in the park. Dogs are prohibited within 10 metres of the playground and in the tidal baths and on the beach.

On-street parking is available along Nicholson Parade.  There are two accessible parking spaces on Waratah Street near the corner of Tonkin Street, with an accessible footpath leading from Tonkin Street into Gunnamatta Park. A map showing the route into Gunnamatta Park can be downloaded here.

Public toilets, changing facilities and showers are provided in Gunnamatta Pavilion.

Alcohol consumption is prohibited at all times, unless written approval has been obtained by Council.
