The first step of the DA process - look at council and state government development policies. You can also request a formal pre application discussion meeting with council.

2 - Prepare Plans and Drawings

The second step of the DA process - prepare your plans and drawings.

3 - Prepare a Statement of Environmental Effects

The third step of the DA process - prepare the statement of environmental effects.

4 - Complete the required documents

The fourth step of the DA process - complete the documents needed for application lodgement.

5 - Lodge the Application

Lodge the application through the NSW Planning Portal.

6 - After you lodge your DA

What happens after you have lodged your DA.

7 - Review of Council Decision

Where applicable, a modification or a review of a council determination or rejection of a DA can be made.

8 - Bond Release and Long Service Levy

Damage security bonds will be released where the development is complete, damage has not been caused to council assets and conditions of development consent have been met.
