Sutherland Shire Council in partnership with our local Youth Services and Youth Reference Group are excited to offer the following free events!

Intergenerational Fashion Festival

Remake, Redesign & Revamp

Come along to Hazelhurst Art Centre to REDESIGN, REMAKE, REVAMP your old sneakers, skateboard, surfboard, bag with acrylic paint, markers. This is a free workshop for young people aged 12-25 to bring along any old item you like and learn to use paint, stenciling, markers and other techniques. Comedy Workshop

Join professional world touring comedian Marty Bright for a fun and unique intro to the world of telling jokes on stage. Marty has performed at the Sydney and Melbourne Comedy Festivals as well as all over the world. He will cover topics such as joke writing, stage skills, industry tips & more. Coding Workshops (Scratch & Java)

Intro to Scratch Coding Camp is designed for students with no prior coding experience. Intro to Java Coding Camp camp is for students 13 to 17 years old (but open to under 25s!) Greenhills Skate Comp

On the 30th of April LODOWN will host the Greenhills annual Skate Competition with 5 different divisions 9 and under 12 and under 15 and under, girls and opens. Short Stuff (Short Film Competition)

Love making Tiktoks? Short Stuff is a Film Competition for Young People aged 12-24. Films must be created on a smart phone and submitted online via the Short Stuff website on 9 April. Films are judged by a panel of judges who work in the film and creative industries and the winners will be announced at a live stream screening event on Wednesday 27th April from 6pm at Hurstville Plaza.
