October is Mental Health Month and Council has partnered with South Eastern Sydney Local health District to promote 7 virtual sessions supporting mental health and wellbeing, as well as Tune into Waves and HSC Rescue Packs.
The theme for this year's Mental Health Month is 'Tune In'. Tuning In means being present, being aware of what's happening within you and in the world around you. Tune In to your senses and take a moment to help still and focus your mind, as well as build positive connections.
Tune into Waves will offer a series of free surf lessons, BBQ and wellbeing sessions to those communities most impacted by the pandemic, during December at Cronulla Surfing Academy. More information will be coming soon on Council’s website.
For those in Year 12 needing support, there are HSC Rescue Packs put together by Council and South Eastern Sydney Local Health District including tips to reduce stress and look after wellbeing. Click here to view the online Resource Pack .
