Get a free personal concierge to help you open your business. Sutherland Shire Council has partnered with Service NSW's 'Easy To Do Business' program to simplify the process for setting up and growing your business.

The Business Concierge team at Service NSW for Business provides free, personalised support to small business owners as they start, run and grow their businesses. If you own a small business in the Sutherland area, your local Business Concierge can help you find the support you need. 

 The Service NSW Business Concierge team can help you navigate government requirements at local, state and federal levels, including applying for grants, licences and permits, understanding government regulations and more.

Business Connect

Business Connect is a dedicated and personalised NSW Government program that provides trusted advice to help you start or grow your small business.

Over 120 Business Connect advisors offer advice tailored to your needs to support you to achieve your business goals and tackle immediate and long-term challenges. Whether you own an established business looking to grow or adapt or have a business idea yet to launch, you can access support.

Business Connect advisors are accredited professionals with first-hand experience running their own small business. Their advice is independent and completely confidential.

You can also access hundreds of business events and resources including live and on demand webinars, online workshops, fact sheets and training videos to complement advisory sessions.

Australian Small Business Advisory Services (ASBAS) Digital Solution

 The Australian Small Business Advisory Services (ASBAS) program provides services that help small businesses to make the most of digital tools and offers broader advice specific to your business needs such as:

  • how digital tools can help your small business
  • websites and selling online
  • social media and digital marketing
  • using small business software
  • online security and data privacy

Services are offered one-on-one to provide tailored support or through group workshops or webinars.

Business.gov.au

Business.gov.au is an online government resource for the Australian business community offering you simple and convenient access to all of the government information, assistance, forms and services you need on planning, starting and growing your business. Also find a grant for you and your business using the NSW Governments grant finder. Provide your postcode, industry, and what you are looking for e.g. Grants or funding or tick all options and all the grants will be listed for you.

Australian Small Business and Family Enterprise Ombudsman (ASBFEO)

The Australian Small Business and Family Enterprise Ombudsman (ASBFEO) provides assistance to small businesses in dispute with other businesses or Commonwealth government agencies and advocates on behalf of small businesses and family enterprises. The Ombudsman is independent and has the legislative power needed to effectively influence lawmakers, ensuring legislation and regulations are put in place to help small businesses grow, as well as to help support the freedom to innovate, employ and thrive.

The NSW Small Business Commission (NSWSBC) speaks up and advocates for small businesses in government. We help the sector operate smoothly by providing resources, strategic advice and free to low-cost mediation to thousands of small businesses each year. We also promote lasting change for small businesses through policy harmonisation and regulatory reform.
